Still Bonarda dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC "Pitturina"

  • The wine name “Pitturina” identifies a vineyard that ever since produces black grapes which give high quality Bonarda dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC characterized by great texture and intense anthocyanin charge. The color of this wine is so intense that our fathers used to say that “it could be used to paint”.
    Aroma: the on-the-nose profile is fine, of good intensity, the first fruity hues tend to evolve into a delightful jam, soft the floral, well spicy, slight herbaceous. The visual profile is characterized by a ruby red colour with mauvish highlights that over time turns to orange notes.
    Tasting: the taste profile is well structured, right balance with a slight characterizing cadence, soft with an enjoyable length.
    Pairing: Pitturina find its best expression “painting” with its color, base meat dishes such as: braised, cold cuts, first dishes with meat sauce.

  • The history of the Rebasti family, owners of Poggio Rebasti winery goes back to the end of 1800, when Pietro Rebasti started cultivating vines and producing wine on a small hill in the municipality of Montescano, part of the kingdom of Italy. This passion for viticulture was handed down from father to son until the 1970’s when Ermanno Rebasti, current owner of the farm, personally entered the vineyard and cellar with the clear will to continue with the family’s philosophy and values. Poggio Rebasti seeks excellence in wine production, day after day, through the care of details in the vineyard, in the cellar and in the relationship with the environment.
