The current version of Prosciutto Cotto “San Giovanni” is the result of complex research to constantly improve the traditional method of processing consisting of favouring Italian pork legs selected for the typical production of the classic Parma ham with an injection of natural brine with herbs, vegetables and spices. Manual deboning and vacuum massaging follow. Meats are steamed at high temperatures, constantly monitoring the core of the product.
Serve thinly sliced, forming a small pyramid. Enjoy it with slices of white bread or with the classic Torta Fritta (fried bread to eat warm right after it has been cooked). Alternatively, combine with mixed pickled vegetables. Pair with red wines, such as Barbera, or with whites, such as Ortrugo from Piacenza and Classic method sparkling wine.
The weight of products as indicated on the label may slightly vary from the real weight of the delivery due to the small-scale artisanal production.

Claudio Capitelli, following a well-established family tradition in the ageing of meats and cheeses, decided to start a new adventure and founded Capitelli F.lli in 1977. Over the last ten years, Capitelli F.lli has invested significant resources in research and development activities, with the specific intent to recover the authentic characteristics of the traditional Italian ham, exalted through highly innovative ideas.
Shipments are FREE for orders over € 90 throughout Europe. For all orders of less than € 90, the shipping cost is fixed at € 15. Only for orders shipped in Italy, the cost is € 9 for purchases less than € 90.
Our shipments are safe and guaranteed within the 3-4 business days following the order placement if all the ordered products are available on our warehouse. Indeed, our food and delivery service is subject to the availability of stocks of products in our warehouse. In case one or more products will not be available in time for the agreed delivery date to be respected I Like Italian Food would suddenly contact the customer to find a solution.
The orders received during the week-end would be processed the following Monday.
The cost of the shipment charged to the customer is fixed at euro 15,00 for shipments to all Europe. We pack our products by adopting all the necessary precautions to preserve the integrity of the different food and beverage products sold.
For the delivery to be completed, it is necessary that the customer or someone else commissioned by the former is present when the courier arrives at the address specified in the order confirmation. I Like Italian Food will not be bound by or responsible for any inconvenience or loss arising to you due to the courier fault or to third parties acting (e.g. strikes or lock-outs), or to unforeseen force majeure circumstances resulting in delays or incomplete/missing deliveries. Right after the delivery, the customer should control that the number of items expressed on the receipt is correct and that the package does not show any sign of damage. Any claim should be contested to the courier at the time of the delivery and the phrase “Accept with reserve” should be written on the waybill that you have to sign to pick the package. Moreover, you should specify better on the waybill what do you reserve the right to check. Otherwise, the delivery would be considered accomplished.
