AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA DOC

  • Amarone by Roccolo Grassi is a wine of great structure and softness aiming to balance, finesse and complexity. It is an Amarone wine of great character and personality, expression of a very specific terroir, the Roccolo Grassi vineyard, which gives the wine notes of spices, tobacco, ripe fruits and herbs. It is aged in French oak barrique for 26 months and then it remains for the next 24 months in bottle.
    Aroma: Bright ruby red coloured, this wine features notes of cherry, red berries, plums, spices, tobacco and herbs. It is a very refined and complex wine, where the aromas perceived on the nose can be found on the palate as well. Its aroma will become more delicate, precise and complex over time.
    Tasting: It is a wine characterized by sweet tannins, able to give it persistence and depth during the tasting.
    Pairing: When aged, it is a wine not to be paired with any food, because the aging gives it a unique sensory spectrum and facets that need to be enjoyed in a joyful reflection.

  • Roccolo Grassi enterprise is a family-run business with an ambitious project: Marco, Francesca and dad Bruno’s aim is to obtain great grapes and produce few bottles of high quality wine every year; for this reason, the number of bottles produced varies annually, depending on the quality of the year. Roccolo Grassi enterprise produces only wines with character, personality, easy identifiable in the territory and in the style. Roccoli Grassi wines evolve and mature through the aging in bottle. For this reason, most of the work is carried out in the vineyard, trying to limit the yield of each vine, making the grapes ripen well and being very careful in preserving in the cellars the raw material obtained. These practices convert into a careful viticulture that pays specific attention to the environment.
