Borgo del Gazzano is an agricultural cooperative voted to the production of Organic Parmigiano Reggiano Pdo. The factory lies in fact in the strip of land that include the Province of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena and Mantova: a belt that has always been rich, fruitful and extremely productive. Since 1972 this factory has developed its credo exclusively on quality. Organic farming production started in 2001 with the purpose of producing a 100% genuine cheese!
A closed-loop process at zero-distance with a particular attention to all stages of production: all of this is Borgo del Gazzano.


The organic farming method differs from the traditional one only for the ingredients, such as milk, which must be rigorously from organic farming and raw as the regulation of the Parmigiano Reggiano process strictly forbids the usage of pasteurized milk.

The position of the factory in an area that is a plain but not to much (it is anyway at 70 meters above sea level), allow this cheese to mature quickly, this is why the Borgo del Gazzano cheese already at 13 months ageing is great for consumption.
